\nI was walking on Moody Beach in Wells, ME.\u00a0 It just so happened that
\nI was spending a summer morning walking with my family–The ironic
\npart is that I was thinking about my godson Sam and how he just had
\nto put his dog, Sampson, to sleep, and how difficult that must have
\nbeen for a 7 year old to deal with.\u00a0 As I was looking for shells for
\nmy son, I came across “Sam’s stone”, laying face up, in the sand, in
\nthe waves.
\nI was so eager to call my Sam and tell him about what I had found.
\nWhen I finally presented this stone to Sam and his family, we took
\nsome time to look up the website on the back of the stone.\u00a0 I cannot
\nbegin to describe the feelings that we all experienced after reading
\nSam’s story, and the feeling of graciousness we had for our own
\nchildren, as well as the harsh reality of how quickly things can
\nchange.\u00a0 We are all deeply touched by your story and I feel that what
\nyou are doing will have a profound effect on many people’s lives.\u00a0 God
