On May 17, 2011 I visited St. Sophia Cathedral inside the kremlin
property in Novgorod, Russia.  That church has a weeping icon called
"Our Lady of the Sign".  I placed a Sam Stone on the shelf behind that
icon.  It is a beautiful setting and the perfect place for one of
Sam's stones.  Here is a link to the church. I was unable to take
photos inside the church, but this page has several photos.

Power Ranch – Gilbert AZ

John, Diane, Max, Gabe and Birthday Boy,Sam
Before my early morning swim today, I placed a “Happy #19 Birthday” Samstone on a rock at the  pool in Trilogy at Power Ranch, which is in Gilbert, Arizona.   By the time I was leaving, the kids were piling in for a few hours of swimming fun and I am positive one inquisitive kid will find it today and who knows where Sam’s spirit will be tomorrow.  Happy Birthday Sam.

I'm sams older brother, so you'd think by now I would have logged in
the many stones that I've placed.  but this is actually the first one
i ever recorded.  I spent 2 months indoors editing my final thesis at
the school I attended when I learned of sams death.  The film is
actually in memory of sam, so when I finished at 2:45am I hopped on my
bike and took a victory run through brooklyn, all the way to Long
Island City where I visited my friend marion at flux factory for the
first time.  we climbed to the top of a 10 story apartment building
under construction right next to them. and I placed the sam stone that
I've had in my pocket for years in the steel girders at the very top.
love you sam and may you have peace

Somerset Long Bay beach in Bermuda.  This is the view from the beach
with Sam's stone.  After two years of sitting in my backpack through
undergrad classes and exams, it was time for Sam's stone to go on
holiday.  The photo was taken at the end of the trip to Bermuda.
While there, the stone traveled to many beaches, went reef snorkeling
and the limestone caves, walked around Hamilton and attended a wedding
on a yacht and Sam (and all the kids from oncology) was there in my
thoughts.  The stone was hidden on the beach after I shot the photo.
Love to you all.  Wendy Howard, BSW!

Chloride – AZ

I was unable to fit my story on Samstones.org, due to 1000 character limitation, but still wanted you and your family to hear about placing a recent stone.  I tried to cut some of the story out, but still could not fit it in the space.  Am also attaching some photos.  Take care, Cheryl

Last Friday, I put Sam on our Mustang dashboard heading to Las Vegas and not far away from home, we stopped to snap a photo of Sam on the Joshua Forest Scenic Road.  Continuing on to Vegas, Lance turned off the highway because he had decided to take me to lunch at an out of the way old mining town in Chloride, AZ.  Chloride once had 75 mines in operation and a population of over 2000.  Today, only 200 people live there, most of them are artists, writers, musicians and craftsmen who have shops and studios in the historic buildings.
We ate lunch at Yesterday’s and then I snapped a photo of Sam, sitting on the window ledge and then in a Joshua tree, then back on the road to Vegas.  We next stopped at a new wildlife overpass bridge recently built; hum you’ll see Sam sitting there too.  Then onto the new Hoover Dam by-pass and a sneak peak of Lake Mead.
We finally arrived in Vegas.  I searched and searched for the perfect place to leave Sam in Vegas, but could not find the right place, so when we left Vegas, Sam went back on the dashboard with us.
We decided that Chloride would be his final destination for this trip.  So when we got back to Chloride, we went to the Mineshaft Market, which also doubles as a visitor’s center.  Two ladies were working at the market and I asked one of them if I could leave Sam on their guest book register.  They were very curious and needless to say, they said yes and they were thrilled that I left Sam there.  You can see Sam is sitting near where we signed the guest book register.  They had Samstones.org on their computer before we left the market and were very thrilled to have Sam’s spirit in their store.
So I guess, Sam was meant to be in Chloride, AZ at least for now.  If he stays there, he will see gunfight reenactments a few nights a week, the oldest post office in Arizona, and many famous murals around town and many local musicians, which Sam will enjoy.  We placed him on May 1, 2011, a day where the world is a little closer to Peace on Earth.
Peace
Cheryl Leach

Oops, it won't upload a txt file, probably just pictures.
Okay, getting creative, took a screenshot of the text and made a jpeg.
