I found a Sam Stone one day while geocaching (geocaching.com). I was
standing on the side of a rather busy road in the town of Norton, VT.
We happened to be in front of a road sign which announced that we were
at the 45th parallel. As I was standing there, I happened to look
down and I spied the SamStone. Curious, I picked it up and
ultimately put it in my purse to take home. It must have sat in my
purse for 2 weeks before I finally remembered and sat down at the
computer to pull up the site. I started reading about Sam and tears
came to my eyes. His story and the story of how his memory is kept
alive touched my heart. It amazes me that people all over the world
can learn about him in this very simple but powerful way. Through
geocaching, we are often brought to beautiful and peaceful places in
our home state of Vermont. I would like to leave a SamStone or 2 for
the next people who come along. Thank you for sharing Sam with us.

Hi John,
I took one of these stone from you two years ago at the Austin Academy meeting and told you I was going to place it in town.
Subsequent to that, I think I told you that I put it on a bench along Town Lake, where lots of runners, bikers, and walkers would see it.
I mentioned that I had pictures from my cell phone, but I never found them….
Well, I was cleaning up some stuff tonight and lo and behold, here they are. I hope these, in some small way, help you with what I know must be continual grief.
Your friend,
Jim.
P.S. .. Its the white disk in the middle of the second photo… and the first photo is the overall sitting area… you can see the SamStone in the larger setting picture if you look close.

I don't have a photo, because my camera was stolen. But we threw a
Samstone into the Amazon River near the town of Iquitos at a place
where the Momon River (a tributary) and Amazon meet. It's really
cool, because you can see the line between the very dark water of the
Momon (full of tanniin) and the very brown water of the Amazon. There
also were grey river dolphins swimming around us. I thought you'd like
that….
Love,
Valerie

Michelle and I left this Sam Stone in Laguna Beach, California. It
was a beautiful day and we were sucking down a pitcher of margarita
at a Mexican restaurant.

I found this SamStone in the Baths in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin
Islands… well, on TOP of the Baths, where you aren't supposed to
go. It was quite an adventure, my brother and I could have died 😀

John,
I left a stone in Hyderabad on Thursday. Unfortunately, I was on a day trip and didn't have any time to find a nice site, so I left it in a plant pot outside IBM. Here are the pictures:
