Hi John and Diane,
This is Britt, who married Valerie White some 20 years ago now. John,
we exchanged a few emails back in the early days of the internet, when
less of our hair was gray.
So, I'm in St. Lucia for work this week, and I brought a Sam Stone to
leave here. ( I get to see conference rooms in some exotic places.) I
have a picture of the cove in front of my hotel but the pic is too
large to send. I put the stone on the shore, at the base of a small
tree. I'll look up a way to compress the pic and send it.
Warm Wishes to all of you, Britt
John, we found a corner of our room that is a sort of 'calming spot' that my sam stone will now be a part of. wanted to share the pics with you. hope these find you well.. Shane —

hi,
I found a SamStone two years ago on a skiing holiday in les arcs ski
resort in the alps (France). it was on top of the Aiguille Rouge
mountain(3226m).
i never thought to research it until i saw it on my shelf the other
day. sam's story is really sad but i think what you've done is such
an awesome way to remember him. i just turned 15 recently and have no
idea how i could cope with losing a friend or family member at that
age but the stones are lovely. the fact that you reach people all
over the world (i live in london, england!) is great.
thankyou so much.

I was given a Samstone while in Korea by an IBM coworker. We joked
that we should leave it somewhere at Samsung Headquarters because its
a Sam Stone. We never had time so I brought it back to my home in
Adachiku ward, Nishiarai Tokyo, Japan and placed it at the Nishiarai
Daishi temple in my neighborhood. The temple was founded in 826 and
the statues are guardian monks who I hope will protect it. I will
upload more pictures of the temple if you are interested. I should
also tell you that I was born and grew up in Burlington Vermont.

Hey, I'm from Tupper Lake, New York & a few weekends ago I was at the
mall and i dropped a sam-stone on the pay phone every time i walked by
it (girls are crazy shoppers going back and forth from stores :p) But
everytime I passed it, the stone was gone. I had brought my entire
package of sam stones i recieved with me and left them in a variety
of places…on the pay phone, in the girl's bathroom, in hottopic,
fyi, walmart, sears, deb, american eagle, hollister and probally more
places too. OH YEAH! my favorite was in the tents set up outside of
dicks sporting goods, along with inside a pair of shoes.

I know there's already a Samstone on Machu Picchu, but now there's
another. I wanted a stop full of the mystery and magic of the place,
but no where near sacrificial stuff or temples. On a day when the
mist kept obscurring the mountains or ruins, and we saw a hummingbird
stop for a moment on a branch, we found a peaceful place above the
main ruins, between the Inca stones, and under a plant. I hope the
photo loaded, if not I'll email it to you.
Still 4 stones to go. I'm very picky about where to put them. And it
sort of feels like a special honor to be part of this.
Love,
Valerie
