Hello folks,
John …you did a FABULOUS job presenting at our school (Choate) not
too long ago. Thanks so much for doing that. I took along a handful
of Sam Stones during my recent trip to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Here
is where I placed them:
1) on the Corniche in Jeddah facing the Red Sea, overlooking the
world's highest water fountain
2) on the Corniche in Al-Khobar facing the Persian Gulf
3) in a garden at the Hamra Residential compound in Riyadh – FYI the
garden is in memory of 18 compound residents who were killed there
during a terrorist attack in 2003
4) on the King Fadh Causeway from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain
So…I hope this adds to the geographic spread of Sam Stones. Be
well and do take care. – Dan

I left this SamStone at the base of a statue in Leiden, Holland. Here
is a picture of the SamStone with a windmill in the background!

More SamStones at Machu Picchu
Hi John,
I just read your blog post about recent SamStone locations … very
cool. I still think the whole concept of these stones all over the
world in Sam's memory is a great idea! I wish I'd be remembered some
day like that 🙂
We put one at the Sun Gate and one on top of Wayna Picchu.
All the best from all of us,
Uwe, Anna, Lara & Finn

Hi John, we placed two SamStones at Machu Picchu (couldn't resist,
it's just such a magical place). The first one is at the Sun Gate,
which is the very first time that you see the ruins from Inca trail.

We scrambled up Wayna Picchu (the cone shaped mountain behind Machu
Picchu) in the morning and placed our second SamStone at the top.
