hey john, i’m in china visiting the venice of the east. there are many spiritual and awe inspiring sights here even in the dirty hustle and bustle of the city. this morning i pedaled out to a pagoda south of suzhou and east of the grand canal. i brought the sam stone with me there and together at the top of the hill we watched the inscence burn and saw the candle light and listened to the chanting of the singers in the temple. we spent a long time there in the peace. i carried the stone down the hill again and out to the edge of the lake where, beside some rickety old boats and farmers, but under a sheltering lion i put the stone. I didnt know sam. but i know the love of a parent for a child now gone. and i am glad that i could bring your sam stone with me as i also bring my own son, in my heart if not my hand.

I think I found your Samstone in Aruba. It was during my vacations, I was with my girlfriend in a jeep tour around the island. Suddenly, when we were walking near Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins, I saw the stone and kept it with me. Now, this Samstone is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I was surprised to look down on the beach as the tide was receeding
on Moody Beach, Maine on September 2, 2008 and see an object which
was not a shell but looked very interesting I picked it up and of
course was curious about it. As I am a potter I could see it is clay
but how did it get on the shore as the tide was going out? I would
have thought it would have sunk into the sand. So, I was very moved
to find your site and read about Sam. As a mother and grandmother my
heart went out to you and I love what you are doing to honor Sam and
send on the love. I plan to keep this stone for awhile and then I
will place it in a special place.
I also want you to know that my parent's ashes are in the ocean where
I found Sam's stone as it is one of the most sacred places on the
earth to me as it was to my parents.
May you feel love returning to you,
Sharon

Dear John,
today we placed the first Samstone you kindly gave me in JNB in our stone garden, tight here in the middle of the map. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Wadenswil,+Obere+Leihofstrasse+69&sll=47.222441,8.66592&sspn=0.000661,0.001039&ie=UTF8&ll=47.222437,8.665924&spn=0.000661,0.001039&t=h&z=20
And here is a picture of the surroundings and view of the place with Sam's stone on the bottom left..
Placing the other two will take some more time as we are not planning to go there soon but I will keep you posted/
Kind regards / Freundliche Grüsse / Cordialement
Phil
