I found a round SamStone on Moody Beach, Maine on Thursday, 8/30/07
at 9:30 AM. I wonder where it came from or if it washed up out of
the ocean. I am a 10 year old who also Loves to play guitar.

I was walking on Moody Beach in Wells, ME. It just so happened that
I was spending a summer morning walking with my family–The ironic
part is that I was thinking about my godson Sam and how he just had
to put his dog, Sampson, to sleep, and how difficult that must have
been for a 7 year old to deal with. As I was looking for shells for
my son, I came across “Sam’s stone”, laying face up, in the sand, in
the waves.
I was so eager to call my Sam and tell him about what I had found.
When I finally presented this stone to Sam and his family, we took
some time to look up the website on the back of the stone. I cannot
begin to describe the feelings that we all experienced after reading
Sam’s story, and the feeling of graciousness we had for our own
children, as well as the harsh reality of how quickly things can
change. We are all deeply touched by your story and I feel that what
you are doing will have a profound effect on many people’s lives. God

I went to Moody Beach in Maine, and found so many wonderful places
for Sam Stones to be placed. I know that there are so many people
walking around the beach there, that many people will be touched by
them, and i was soo happy to place them. thank you everybody! and we
miss you sam!

My dad, some friends, and I were in the ocean at Surfside, Nantucket.
My dad was looking for skipping stones and picked a rock up. It was a
Sam Stones rock. I took it and showed my mom and my friends who werent
in the water. I had heard of these stones before. My friend had one.
Now that I read about who Sam was, I feel great that I have one.

My son and I were walking together on the beach in Ogunquit, Maine
when he found a “samstone.” He really felt as though he found a
treasure and I told him we’d look up the address when we returned
home to Minnesota. Once we did, I realize what a treasure we did
find! What a wonderful way to remember your son! For now, he want to
hold on to it until he can figure out a special place to leave it for
someone else to discover.

My name is Sarah and I am 5 years old. On Sunday Sept. 2,2007 my
family and I were climbing Mt. Kearsarge in Warner, NH when I found a
heart shaped Sam stone. My mom found another oval shaped stone
nearby, but we left that for someone else to find.
This is Sarah’s mom Jennifer Devoe. I think these stones are a very
cool way to “spread” Sam’s spirit. We will keep your family in our
thoughts and thank you for sharing Sam with us.

My cousin gave me the stone at a family picnic in Marcellus, NY. I
brought it home and put in under the rose bush in our yard in West
Allis, WI. We are working on improving our garden and the stone is
now part of our improvement.
The Haddocks placed a SamStone in QC
The Haddocks placed a SamStone at teh Parliment in Ottowa.
The SLoan’s placed a SamStone on Wellesley Island NY, One of the 1000 islands in the Canadian/American Wwaters of the St. Lawrence river.
