Hi John,
The Townsend Family was nice enough to send me some SamStones. I have
given them to several friends for future placement in Montana &
Washington State. My Mom went on Vacation to Key West in May…here
are some photo’s of where they placed one of the SamStones.
Hemingways House with all the 6 toe -ed cats. Maybe someone has found
it by now, lots of people pass thru there everyday:)
Thank you for sharing the stones. I check in frequently to this
website and love to see how far some of them have made it.
Good luck to you & your family.

On Memorial Day weekend, I rode to the top of Mt Hamilton
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Hamilton_(California) ) with my
bike club, and placed the Sam Stone that John gave me while we were
in San Diego. In the photo, the stone is at the base of the pole in
the center of the photo. It’s right next to a memorial bench to a
cyclist from our club.
When you’re in San Jose, if you look to the East, especially in the
afternoon, you’ll see the white domes of the observatory – it’s a
highest peak around.
Eric Larson placed these stones at Vallorcine in the French Alps
while boarding with his family.

This was placed in Austin, TX at Sculpture Falls in one of our many
greenbelts. This is a picture of my late fiance (Darius) AT Sculpture
Falls, with the SamStone against that picture. Darius passed on May
26, 2004.
I placed this one in the water …. when it dries up in the fall,
maybe someone will find it. 🙂

Roz Elliott placed a SamStone in a pool at Allagash Falls, on Maine’s
Allagash River in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway.

We used a Sam Stone to teach 2 Ghanan children how to dive for a
stone in the water. After the lesson the children asked about the
stone and we gave it to them to discover Sam.
The links in the Sam chain seem to grow sometimes with out the
slightest effort. It is all about love.
Goodnight Sam, Diane , John, Max & Gabe.
P.S. Diving for a Sam Stone is a safe way to turn completely upside
down,
twist and spin. Me thinks Sam would be laughing to see you all try.

Last week a bunch of Sam’s friends traveled to Colorado. With that
group traveled many SamStones. I personally put one in a hole just
big enough for the clay piece. This hole was in one of the wooden
railings supporting campers who would soon go down a waterslide. The
waterslide was a blast and attracted all 400+ campers. Just as Sam
would. Much love, Rebecca.
