My good friends Carl and Brinn placed several SamStones in Senegal. I’ll get exact locations and pictures soon
Here are the notes and pictures I got from Carl
Panoramic picture of the river where I left the Sam Stone in Ndagane.

The panoramic picture does not do justice to the view.
Pictures of Pofine.
This is where about 800 people were present for our visit and celebration.
It was a great visit. I have a movie Brynn dancing.
We sat under this tree watching the singing and dancing and then joined in.
The Sam Stone is in the school next to this tree.
The 3 villages where we left the Sam Stones are
1. Keur Makhali coordinates for Google Earth 12*58’28.07″N & 16*29’37.17″W This is the tree where I left the Sam stone. This is north of Baba Garage in the middle of nowhere.

Hello John,
my family and I placed our SamStone yesterday. It was a beautiful day up here in Cumbria. We walked up High Hartsop Dodd and on to Little Hart Crag. I placed the stone in the cairn at the top of Little Hart Crag, and we all said a little prayer for Sam. It’s a nice walk; you go past a lovely little lake called Brothers Water; past an ancient (stone age?) settlement; then up a very steep climb. Then you are “on top of the world”, mountains all around. (Mountains by UK standards. The tallest in England is 3000 feet!) I’ve included some of the pictures below.
Here is what my GPS device told me:
1. UK coordinates (Ordnance Survey GB, British Grid)
NY 38854
BNG 10052
Approx. 2100 feet elevation.
Then I switched it to a more global scheme:
N 54 degrees. 28 minutes. 55.2 seconds.
W 2 degrees. 56 minutes. 37.9 seconds.
Hopefully that will make some sense.

Mike James left SamStones at the sites of two builidngs that he helped build on a mission trp to mexico. Here are soem pictures and some nfo on the trip
In late February, I lead a team of families from Vermont to Reynosa, Mexico. During our week long missions trip, we built two small homes for two Mexican families. One of the families had only days before lost their home and their youngest child, a two year old daughter, to a fire. Rand Larson had given me two Sam Stones before the trip, and on our last day when we dedicated the homes, we placed a Sam Stone next to each one.
While I never met Sam, I am sure we would have enjoyed having him on the team! It seems he was a fun, energetic, and talented guy.
You can find out more about our trip and the homes at http://reynosa07.blogspot.com
You can also view the locations of the two homes and the Sam Stones….
Site 1 – it is a blank lot in the middle of the photo

Site 2 – something strange with these pictures and the long lines… the site is the blank lot just to the right of the double smears on the photo…
