A Sam Stone was placed by me on the top of Nasera Rock near the
Serengeti in Northern Tanzania on Dec. 6, 2011. It's a lovely spot
with fantastic views of the plains filled with wildebeest on their
migration route .

Dec. 23, 2011. At dawn, I placed a SamStone next to a Silver Sword,
an endangered plant found only at Mount Haleakala. It is at the summit
at 10,023 feet.
As I watched the sun come over the clouds it felt like a festival of
light, so I wanted to wish you a happy festival of light.

Just wanted to let you know that in the last two weeks, we have left SamStones in: Cartegena, Colombia; Colon, Panama; Manta, Ecuador; Lima, Peru; Arica, Chile; and La Serena, Chile. Tomorrow we will leave one in Valparaiso or Santiago, Chile, as we tour and then prepare to head back to Austin. Will send pictures after we're back in Austin. This taps us out of SamStones, so will need to write and request more!

Tomorrow we will leave one in Valparaiso or Santiago, Chile, as we tour and then prepare to head back to Austin. Will send pictures after we're back in Austin.
