Where did you place the SamStone ? (please be as specific as you can e.g.: near a landmark, an address or a long/lat)
At the Hilton Vienna, on the Presidential Suite balcony
Please tell us more about where and how you placed it
If you can access the Presidential Suite, you’ll have to get security to unlock the door that goes onto the balcony. As you step out of the door, look down and you’ll find a grate. Underneath that grate sits a SamStone. It should (hopefully) be there forever, it’s intentionally hidden for that purpose. This might be the most elusive SamStone to see, as multiple things have to perfectly line up to see it.

A few of my friends went on a hike and found this stone, my name being Sam they brought it back as a gift. I saw the URL on the back of the stone and looked up the meaning of the samstone. Its a wonderful message and idea, happy to have come across it!

Bryggen – Bergen – Norway

Posted by: samstone @ 6:58 pm
John, Diane,
We left a Sam Stone on the side of a door in the old part of Bergen last week, called Bryggen, which means the docks, and is a World Heritage Site. Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and was always a trading city, being part of the Hanseatic League in the middle ages. Well worth a vosit – we were there because we were getting on a sex day cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes at the top of Norway. The trip was to get to see the Northern Lights, which we did see on our final two nights. We will go back in the summer and spend a fw days in Bergen and Oslo.
Hope you’re both well
 Hugh

John, Diane,
is the most northerly fishing village in the world. It now has only abbout 40 inhabitants, down from a few hundred a few decades ago. We leftthe stone on the window sill of the Christmas and Winter House, a coffee shop and store, where the women of the village sell clothese and ornaments they have made themselves. Plenty of snow!

This time of year there is not a lot of color. Madeline’s Garden is the one burst of color I found in the area.

John,
Your packet of Sam Stones arrived today. I attach some photos I believe I’d not sent you.
The first shows a stone on a fence in a meadow above Zermatt in Switzerland, with the Matternhorn mountain in the background. The second photo is of the Matternhorn itself.
The next is a stone on a wall in front of the building on the last photo. The building is on
The photos were taken on 17th and 18th September 2018 – we went on holiday a week after our son’s wedding
I think there are more to send you

One of my dearest friends (coincidentally named Sam) is buried in this beautiful cemetery built on a hilly patch of green land. At the bottom of the hill is a well-traveled deer path, which is where I placed the Stone on top of a fence post. There is a great sense of tranquility in this setting as there is in a lot of natural settings.

Under the Hammering man’s heel in front of SAM

I left the stone under Hammering man’s heel in front of Seattle’s Art Museum. I received stones few weeks ago, but didn’t have a chance finally put them on the map. Today was the day, and of course, it was raining 🙂 I hope it’s not going to be swept away by someone 🙁
