Found this lovely stone while geocaching near Pagosa Springs,
Colorado. Plan to bring it back to New Mexico with us, and then
eastward to North Carolina for the funeral of our cousin who died 3
weeks ago. We will carry it with us – and leave it in a beautiful
place – in honor of Sam and Shelley!
Keeping Sam in our prayers, knowing he’s living on in spiritual beauty

John,
Sue and I returned this week from a holiday in Western Canada. I left a Sam Stone on an historic train outside the railway station in Jasper.

This weekend, I found a good place for a Sam Stone again. I left one
at the monument at Roskilde Festival in Denmark. It’s a stone with the
inscription “How fragile we are” (a quote from the Sting song
“Fragile”) surrounded by nine trees. It made me think of Sam, so
that’s why I placed a stone at the monument.
Love, Caryn

Samstone found in Mark Twain Cave near Hannibal MO July 3, 2016:
My son, who’s also named Sam, found the stone in the cave. He is 4
years-old. He recognized his name and snatched it up. I assumed it was
someone’s personalized souvenir so we asked around to find whoever
had dropped it. Since no one spoke up, we figured it was meant to be
and he kept it. When we got home, we found the website and discovered
that what he had found was something more than a simple trinket.
On behalf of my son, I would like to say thank you for such a
meaningful souvenir of today’s adventure. I am sure he will treasure
for a long time to come. For myself, I can only say my family is moved
and inspired by how Sam’s family & friends continue to send out such
positivity and love in his name.
