Hi John,
I’ve just come back from my holiday in Papua New Guinea and on the trip placed a Sam stone about as close to the middle of the country as possible by this fantastic waterfall. Surrounded by jungle, the constant mists off the falls and bird noise. As it was in an obvious place the stone by now is either going to have been picked up by one of the local tribes people or less frequent tourist.

I had a look at posting this to the site via your form but had the impression that it would give out my email address. Hope its not too difficult for you to add.

Dear John and Diane, finally I placed the next SamStone (actually the
last one of those you gave me, John) – during our fantastic vacation
in Sweden where we spent most of our time close to Stockholm or in
South Sweden on the road from and to Germany. One a beautiful day we
relaxed at the stony coast east of Stockholm on an island called Djuro
(actually with o-Umlaut at the end: Djurö). We dropped the SamStone
in a slit between rocks so that it doesn’t disappear (and it’s above
sea level :-). The position is 59.305262, 18.706963 (59°18′ 19” N,
18°42′ 24” E). Best wishes, Andrea (and husband Joerg)

We found a SamStone in Missoula, MT and have taken it to Pennsylvania.
I will try to take a few photos before setting it loose in the wild.

i have had my Sam stone for 2 years and just thought it was weird that
someone gave it to me with my name on it i always knew there was
something more to it, it wasnt till recently i realised there was a
blog address on the back of the stone, my friend went Mountain
climbing and found it and gave it to me as my name is Sam too ! i am
going traveling next year so i will be sure to take it with me and
leave it somewhere special.
