| Mio figlio Gabriele voleva passare vicino al Duomo, senza un particolare motivo, ci siamo fermati per parlare poi lui ha notato la pietra e l’abbiamo presa per guardarla. Abbiamo letto la storia di Sam sul sito e l’abbiamo portata a casa nostra, per adesso. |

Around 1/4 mile into the woods up from the road at the lip of the ridgeline on a special pile of boulders. Street address is my parent’s driveway and the stone is placed on their land.

| Just in front of the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, between the lake and South LV Bd, right in the middle. |

| There are nice shows with fountains every 30min, so it is good place. I moved it at the bottom of the tree to keep it last as long as possible. |

At the base of a corner post of the summit hut on Wilderness Peak, Bolton, VT.
Please tell us about where and how you found it
On Dec. 31, 2022, we skinned up the Wilderness uphill route at Bolton. While admiring the view (and watching my step), I noticed the Sam stone. The snow has been melting at a fast pace the last two days, so I suspect the stone was either just dropped or just revealed as the snowpack recedes. Since my daughter’s boyfriend is named Sam, I thought I might give it to him for his birthday. He is an avid backcountry skier. Now that I know the Sam honored by the stone and the backstory, I am thinking that it might be nice to get more of Sam’s stones for our Sam to disperse on his back country adventures. I’m sorry that I don’t have a photo, my old iphone 6 always dies in the cold! Thank you for keeping your son’s memory alive with these stones.

| The SAM stone was placed beside the Jewish Chapel at Philmont Scout Ranch |

| Gary and I arrived in Albaqueque, NMX July 2021 st the Baggage Claims to pick up our bags to go to Philmont Scout Ranch. A father was waiting in the waiting area. He tells us about SAM. We learned SAM was different but he had participated on a trek at Philmont. On day on the trail a Jewish Chaplain came over the mountain and talked with SAM. SAM found peace in the mountains and on the trail.
This is Now Rosh Hashanah 3022. A new year. Sam’s stone is not where we left it in 2021. We hope that Sam’s adventure continues by people sharing his rock and reliving his memories. Gary and I will remember Sam and the peace and understanding found in the mountains and on the trail. |
