We were in Cadiz in mid April and I left a Sam Stone by a lampost above the beach. Just outside Cadiz is Trafalgar where, in 1805, Admiral Lord Nelson defeated the combined Spanish and French fleets. Our Spanish tourist guide never mentioned the battle:-)

I was given a sam stone at one of the many celebrations commemorating Sam’s life years back, and have held onto it ever since. Over spring break I made a trip to Costa Rica for a Service Learning trip through UVM. Upon packing, I stumbled upon my SamStone and decided to bring it for the ride…This picture was taken at the “Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio”
