Name = Rebecca Email = Rebeccadermody@hotmail.com Message = My Sam Stone came to me through the kindness of a man I’ve never met. My friend was in Marco Island, FL, when she met a man building ornate sand castles and they started talking about his stone, which was displayed in the sand. She shared with him my story: I recently lost my partner, also named Sam. He was taken from the world unexpectedly and much too young. He had an incredibly free and loving spirit. He was only weeks away from meeting our first child, who I gave birth to last month. This master castle builder said it was time for his stone to be passed on, and hoped it helped me with my grieving as it had for him. My Sam was an adventurous man and we spent years backpacking around together, and now I plan to carry my Sam Stone with me as my son and I continue to see the world, and carry some of the immense love with us that these Sams shared with the world, and continue to share.

Carribean, Grand Cayman, with stingrays
It was a beautiful morning in the middle of the Caribbean Sea on a
shallow submerged sand bar swimming with the local Stingrays. Â They
are gentle giants of a fish and very friendly. Â I never met Sam but I
understand he was very friendly and shared a lot of love to others.
Each time I leave a Sam’s Stone I also think of my brother Dennis
who so loved others and gave of his time and resources to help so
many.

** I love this concept and the story of Sam and your family. I am
delighted to have been able to be part of it.
By the way, it took me quite some effort to be able to figure out how
to shrink the photos to be able to submit them. Might I make a small
suggestion to allow larger file sizes, or provide suggestions for how
to shrink them, and provide the details on file requirements? Thank
you and best of luck in all you do! (I hope I didn’t send the same
photo several times, but am afraid I did!)
