I’ve had this Sam Stone for sometime now after finding it miles away
in Ouray, CO. After rediscovering it for myself under the seat of my
truck I decided that it was time to find a new home for the stone.
About a week back I took a motorcycle trip up to Big Bear, CA with my
dad. We have been coming up here since I was about 11 years old and I
am now 25. This seemed like a perfect place to leave the stone. It
way be hard to find but I left the stone at a place called Deep Creek
which is along a jeep/motorcycle trail near Crab Flats Campground.
Best of luck in finding this stone which can be found in a small knot
in a small tree right by the rivers edge.

For now my stone is next to my bed in a pottery jar made by my youngest daughter, Elisabeth. I live in Western Springs, IL. This summer I plan to take the stone to Sioux Falls, SD and place the stone in a special place I use to play as a child. We lived near the country and spent many hours in a place we affectionately called “the valley”. My brother who took his life, Tom, requested to have his ashes spread in the valley. So this summer when I’m back home my family and I will return Tom to the valley and I’ll also find a special place for my Samstone. I’ll update the website this summer 🙂
