Golden Nuggett Hotel – Laughlin, NV
Sam recently went with Lance and I on a 58 mile jet boat ride from Laughlin, NV to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Sam saw the beautiful green Colorado River, big horned sheep drinking from the river, Topock Gorge which contains large deposits of sand dunes, and then finally the London Bridge, our ultimate destination. We learned that back in the 1960's, The London Bridge was sinking into the River Thames in London, so it was put up for auction. Robert McCulloch purchased it and had it taken apart, numbered so he could reassemble it exactly like it stood in London, but in Lake Havasu, AZ. The reconstructed project was completed in 1970. I carefully placed a Samstone in a walkway, near The London Bridge, so someone could spot him, so stay tuned where he might turn up next. I also placed a Samstone at the Golden Nuggett Hotel in Laughlin, NV on a piano bench.
