| I graduated from UVM in 2012 and that is where I received this SamStone. It has been stored along with many other UVM relics for many years until this weekend, when I unpacked some of those boxes. As I visited the website and read more about Sam, I was struck by his story. I teach 9th grade English and Sam was about the age of my students when he passed away. I also spent time working at Camp Abnaki and felt the spirit of that beautiful place. So, I decided I would bring my SamStone to a place where I hike with a beautiful overlook of the Mississippi River. |
