I took SAM with me camping for three weeks in the Rockies near
Telluride, CO, while I attended a book binding course. It was at the
Ah Haa school for the arts, a school for creative endeavor founded by
Daniel Tucker. The school is located in the old Depot building in
Telluride. I placed the stone in the sill of a clerestory window
looking out over the surrounding San Juan Mountains.  Below, every
day, the school is alive with people of all ages engaging in
live-enhancing learning experiences.

John,  I left the day after Cusp for a three week book binding class in Telluride, CO. I kept the Sam stone with me the entire time. I left it in the upper clerestory window of the Ah Haa school for the arts, a place I think you would like. It is devoted to creative thought and encouraging people to have an "ah ha!" moment. I carried it with the everywhere (attached is a picture of it on a hike.)
The other picture is me and Sam’ stone with Daniel Tucker, the  founder of the Ah Haa school, just before putting the stone in the upper window which looks out over the town and the beautiful and sublime San Juan peaks. Dan started this school to promote story telling in all forms, and so the book arts have found a home here, being one of the two campuses for the American Academy of Book Binding. So each day, people of all ages engage in activities that promote their creativity and awareness of life. It seemed a perfect place.

I return to “civilized” life as we know it next week. I posted a note and an image on the Sam Stone blog site as well. It was great meeting you in Chicago.

All the best

Robert Rowe
