I had intended to get some pictures to you sooner – as you may remember, I had planned on placing one of the "Sam Stones" at the Virginia Tech memorial dedicated to the 32 students and professors who were killed in the campus shooting on April 16, 2007.

I had originally planned on taking the Sam Stone with me for the spring game back in April, but a brain cramp on my part put an end to those plans (forgot to pack the Sam Stone).  Then there were a couple more goofs again for the first couple of home games – but I finally got my brain and Sam Stone together.  Appropriately enough – it was for Homecoming Weekend at Virginia Tech.  That is why, in one of the photos, you will see the flower wreath – it was placed by one of the classes having their reunion.  That photo is a little big – I apologize for that – I took two different sized pictures for the other pictures, but not the one including the wreath.  I also have the larger versions of the photos if you want them – I can put them on a CD and mail them to you if you like.
