Hi there,
My daughters boyfriend is on his senior class trip and has left a Sam
Stone in Washington DC at the grave of our president JFK. He had to
wait til the security officer turned his head but Sam's Stone is
there! Now his class is on its way to Virginia Beach VA where my Son
was killed in a car accident and he will be leaving a Sam Stone on
the Boardwalk in honor of Sam and my Son because that was my Son's
favorite place to be. I'll have pictures very soon. Keep up the good
work and we'll keep on keeping Sam's memory alive,
With love and hope,
Marla, Tyler Breton's Mom

Dong Yuan Theater – Beijing, China

Posted by: samstone @ 10:17 am

John, I had the privilege of placing the first of my two Samstones. This stone was placed in the garden near Dong Yuan Theater in Beijing, China. The spot is just outside the wall of the Forbidden City. One unusual thing. You will notice that it is among similar size stones and it appeared that one was missing. That is the spot where I put it. On the 0721 shot, the wall in the background is the Forbidden City outer wall.

On Monday before we left, I placed this stone on this beautiful beach

Shakelton’s Grave – South Georgia Island

Posted by: samstone @ 10:23 am

Folks…

This is such a cool story. I was speaking with my friend Marc this morning about the trip he and his wife Peggy took to Antarctica in February. He showed me the route they had taken and I noticed that he had also visited South Georgia Island. I’d never spoken with him about SamStones. I told him how Jean’s mom’s friends had placed a SamStone on Shackleton’s grave. About 30 minutes later he sent me the following photo..Look on the lower left.. Is that amazing or what ? It truly is a small world.. and Sam’s spirit is all around it.

Portland – Maine

Posted by: samstone @ 6:25 am

I am a colleague of Sam’s dad, John, who slipped me a stone many moons ago.  I have been waiting to place it in a scene of nature, raw beauty and fun that I associate with (what I believe to be) Sam’s life in Vermont.  I finally remembered the stone on a trip to Portland Maine and laid the stone in Cutler Park overlooking the islands of Casco Bay.
Who knows where the spirit will move it next, but it has touched me, so thank you all for sharing this life in a way that touches even the social periphery.  Stay well.
