John,
I hope you don't mind, but I haven't been able to add a SamStone using the website so I thought I'd look up an old email from you and send it that way.
I placed a SamStone on the property of Arenal Volcano Inn in Costa Rica on February 23, 2013. I left it on my front patio, which faces the Arenal volcano cone. The entire property is covered with tropical plants and water designs, and there are many birds and reptiles living there, too. (photo Ss1.jpg)

I placed a second SamStone on the property of Hotel Casitas Eclipse near the National Park in Costa Rica on February 27th. There were so many critters at night that I wasn't sure the stone would stay in place. I had white face monkeys and howler monkeys all around my patio, but when I left Sam's Stone was still in place. John,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. We’re in the re-deployment phase in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, at the moment. The country is really beautiful. The Kyrgyz people are friendly enough; the women are attractive and the men are usually huge, probably of Mongolian and possibly Scythian descent. The steppe surrounding our base is green with rolling hills extending to the Tian Shan mountains to our north. I attempted to capture the landscape in the picture but there was unfortunately too much haze to see the mountains. I placed Sam in a spectacular low-traffic area on the steppe at the eastern edge of MANUS air base about seven inches below the gravel. Hope all is well. Take care.

Dear John and Diane,
I left my Sam Stones at Mesa Verde, The Maroon Bells, and the Animas
River in Durango, Colorado. I am very inspired by your actions and I
hope in my own way I helped make Sam a little more infinite.
Thank you.

Our SamStone story:
Our friend John Reinhardt gave us a SamStone and shared Sam's story. We went to a fun event at the Philadelphia Museum of Natural Sciences and placed this SamStone in the living butterfly exhibit. With hundreds of butterflies swirling overhead, it felt like a nice place for Sam to be. Love to Sam and his family.

Well hey there! My Mom got a bunch of samstones a couple years back,
and I decided to take one with me, from Canada, to Australia.
My first time snorkelling was a very special moment for me, as the
ocean has been one of my deepest fears growing up. When I got to Aus I
swam in the ocean, but snorkelling in 8-10 metre deep water is a very
different thing!
So Sam came with me to my first snorkelling spot, where I left the
stone, face up, in a little rock cavern. Cody and I then swam back to
the beach for about forty minutes, when we returned to snorkel some
more, Sam was gone! Off to create some more adventures I guess! Maybe
should have hid it better?
So Sam has now been to Port Noarlunga Reef, near Adelaide, Australia.
He also accompanied us to Tasmania, and all around the coast from
Sydney to Adelaide. Hope his new owners take him somewhere else cool!

Forrest Woodard at Copper Mountain gave me this Sam Stone before
leaving for Thailand. Since there was already a Sam Stone near my
home in Chiang Mai, I decided to place it at the Tachileik Shwe Dagon
Pagoda in Tachileik Myanmar (Burma) on a recent trip north.
