Location: Under the Weeping Beech tree at the Captain Bangs Hallet House in Yarmouthport Ma.
Story: In July of 2023, My wife and daughter Lexie were coming back from the beach and made a stop to see this magnificent tree. It is the last memory I have of just the three of us together. Lexie died a month later. This year on our trip to the Cape. I wanted to share this special place with the rest of my family. My youngest Rayna saw a stone that looked out of place, turned it over and saw SAM. I am comforted knowing Lexie and Sam share such a special place. I wish I had taken a picture of the stone but I will enclose one of Lexie and her mother from last year. Tell Gabe that Pat in the kitchen at MMU says Hi. and Love and light to all of Sam’s family

Location: Giant Mountain, about a mile from the summit on our descent
Story: My family and I found this SamStone on Giant Mountain in the Adirondacks in New York. We had summited Giant and were descending on the trail and had stopped for a moment and I looked down and noticed it. This was my 4 year old daughter Evelyn’s 3rd high peak hike and she was so excited to find the SamStone. We loved reading about learning about Sam’s life and legacy!

Name: Kieran Donnelly
Location: Douglas Head Lighthouse – Isle of Man
Story: My son and I went to the Isle of Man TT motrocycle races and thought it would be an ideal place to place the sam stone that John had given me a year or so ago. The point where Douglas Head Lighthouse looks out on is a gorgeous spot and since there was not a sam stone on all of Isle of Man, I thought it would be a good place to leave it.

Name: Nik S
Location: On top of the Ceasars Camp hill, it was placed on a huge pile of stones (large ones, so was easy to spot)
Story: Me and my son were hiking in our local forest / nature area and climbed on top of the hill called the Ceasars Camp (apparently called so because the Ceasars himself camped there!). It’s a very popular spot for hiking and has some beautiful views. My son climbed on top of a huge pile of stones and found a Samstone there at the very top. We then went to your website and read Sam’s story. It’s very sad, but you’ve managed to preserve his legacy in a beautiful way. I wouldn’t have known about Sam if not for that little stone.
