John, I met you at the 2007 CTRE event in San Diego during the dine
around. I was with Dan M, Melanie L, Joan C, et al. You had brought
up the SamStones and I mentioned I would possibly be going to Chile to
visit my girlfriend and I would love to take a stone there. Turns out
she missed me and came home early 🙂 So, I have been keeping the
stone in my view awaiting a great spot. This past week we went to
Chiapas, Mexico where I proposed to Rebecca under the moon on a
rooftop at our bed and breakfast. The SamStone came with us all the
way to the Palenque Ruins, Agua Azul, and a handful of Mayan towns.
We decided that since the essence of the stone was to keep alive the
love and memories of Sam, the best place for the stone would be in a
place we would never forget, the rooftop where we were engaged. We
knew we had made the right decision as later that evening on the same
roof under the same moon there was a beautiful lunar eclipse.
